This game was especially cool because my mom got to go with them. We have been preparing Tristan for this day for weeks. Singing the songs, getting the t-shirts, and for my own comfort I was coaching him on what to do if he found himself without Neannie and daddy in that big crowd. I really had low expectations for his ability to sit in one seat for more than 20 minutes, but the report came back to contrary. He loved the game and all that went with it! Of course he quickly made friends with all the people around him and reminded them of when it was time to cheer and informing them of what player was at bat. Even though there was ice cream, snacks, and a visit to the playground, when he was asked his favorite part he said, "watching the game!" The pride in his father's eyes was clear. Can't wait to send them to more games!
After all the excitement and no nap, it was no surprise that the little guy tuckered out on the way home. He was one happy boy still telling me stories of the game as I got him ready for bed. The last thing he told me as I walked to the door was, "I'm going to dream about the baseball game tonight so I can go again."
